I have received a number of enquiries from students who wish to use library facilities at local universities. Most universities are part of the SCONUL Library Access Scheme, and they allow access to students from other universities with SCONUL library cards.
Unfortunately, the College of Law is not part of the SCONUL scheme, and we can not provide you with a SCONUL library card. One of the reasons we are not members of the scheme is because we can not reciprocate library access – we are unable to accomodate non College of Law students in our libraries.
If you wish to visit a local university library, you will have to follow their access policy for alumni or members of the general public. These policies vary across institutions, but they are generally advertised on the university’s library website, under ‘access’ or ‘visitor’.
If you require any further information, please contact Jackie Hanes, Information Officer.
