This weekend is a PT LPC Study Weekend and our opening hours are as follows:

  • Saturday 26 September: 12pm – 6pm.
  • Sunday 27 September: 12pm – 6pm.

The Lawtel database will be relaunched with a new interface on Monday 28 September. 

Lawtel contains summaries and transcripts of selected cases from 1980.  It also indexes journal articles and tracks the progress of selected bills.  It also offering daily email alerts covering cases, legislation and articles.

You’ll find a link to Lawtel in the Databases section of My Library on Elite.

There are two new legal research workshops for you to sign-up to and attend starting on Thursday 24 September.  They cover electronic research and print based research.

With the start of a new year, based on comments made in last year’s student survey, the following policies are being implemented in the library:

  • The library may be used for silent study only
  • With the exception of bottled water, no food or drink should be consumed the library .

Though this is primarily directed to returning students, who were used to a different policy it does apply to all library users.  We would like to direct you to the basement area and other meeting venues around the building for any non-study oriented activities.
