You are currently browsing the monthly archive for August 2009.
A few tips for making your time here both useful and enjoyable:
- In your first couple of weeks keep your Research Guide by your PC at all times (the blue spiral bound document). As the year goes on, you’ll rely on it less but you’ll find it invaluable even when you go into practice.
- Check the Library blog at least a couple of times a week to find out useful information such as times of legal research sessions, weekend opening hours or updates to databases.
- Please respect your fellow students wishes for silent study in the library. And finally…
- If in doubt about anything please come and ask a member of staff or contact us via email at lib.BRM@lawcol.co.uk
We look forward to working with you.
The Library Team
Welcome to library services. While you are registered at the College of Law you will have access to an exceptionally wide range of legal databases. We have invested in an authentication system which allows you to use your Student Reference Number (SRN) and your College password to login whether on or off campus.
If you are new to the College of Law this year, you will have been sent your College Network login details inside your joiners pack. Your joiners pack also includes information on how to register your details online. If you encounter problem registering your details please contact the IT Services Desk ( mailto:it.servicedesk@lawcol.co.uk ).
To Access the databases open ELITE and click on the ‘My Library’ tab which will take you to the Library homepage. This will present you with all of the electronic resources to which the College subscribes.
Any problems with accessing the databases either at home or in College?
Please email Elite.Administrator@lawcol.co.uk.”
