If you have any outstanding library fines, please can you ensure that you’ve paid them before your last exam. If you are not sure whether you have any fines simply contact us in person, by telephone or email and we’ll let you know.
Please be aware that exam results could be withheld until outstanding debts are paid.
Below is a link to the list of titles bought by the library this month. They are all available for loan from today.
Our weekend opening hours are as follows:
- Saturday 30 May: 9am – 5pm.
- Sunday 31 May: 9am – 5pm.
The purpose of this blog is not to nag but to provide information, however; now that we are entering the exams/revision period please be reminded that the library is for silent study. Already a number of students have complained that they are unable to concentrate because of the noise.
It is important that you regulate yourselves concerning noise levels as from now on we will be asking any offending students to leave the library.
Particularly noisy times are 9 – 9:30am, 12 – 1:30pm and around 3:30pm. We appreciate you are moving between classes, however it shouldn’t be an excuse to disturb other library patrons.
For those of you being disturbed by noise, if you do not feel comfortable complaining in person you may want to drop me an email instead to natasha.skeen@lawcol.co.uk and I’ll do my best to address the matter.
For the next three weekends our opening hours will be as follows:
- Saturday 23 & Sunday 24 May: 9am – 5pm
- Saturday 30 & Sunday 31 May: 9am – 5pm
- Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 June: 9am – 5pm
We will be closed on Monday 25 May for the Spring Bank Holiday.
We are still experiencing problems with renewals and reservations via Elite, so until further notice please can you continue to renew/reserve items either via telephone, email or in person. You will find our contact details on the date labels inside your library books.
- Tel: 01483 216041 or 43
- email: library.brm@lawcol.co.uk
Our opening hours this weekend are as follows:
- Saturday 16 May 12 – 5pm
- Sunday 17 May 12 – 5pm
This Saturday is an Open University Study Day therefore you may find that there are more students and a little more noise than usual. They will be completing some print based exercises in the library, so we apologise in advance for any inconvenience.
Watch this space for extended weekend opening hours during the exams period.
All of the spare books have now been claimed.
